Christmas Cards 2017
I am really excited to finally share my card designs for Christmas 2017! They're based on records and Christmas songs and I'm really really happy with how they turned out!! LOOK AT HOW PRETTY THEY ARE!!!
If you're anything like me, you've been excited for Christmas since July. I can't wait to put my Ella Fitzgerald Christmas record on (seen here in all my flat-lay pictures), make a hot chocolate, and write cards for all my friends and family.
These are the first cards I've properly designed to sell, so it's been a huge learning process for me!
After scribbling a bunch of different designs, I decided on record players inspired by my partner Vic's obsession with vinyl. I chose bright, bold colours (as usual for me), and some of my favourite Christmas carols to pair with them! Each one is hand painted in gouache, with coloured pencil detailing and lettering.
I got them printed with the lovely people at printed.com who shipped them super fast! They're gorgeous quality - the colours are bright and the card feels luxurious and thick. Each one comes with a snow-white envelope and packaged in a cellophane bag.
Knowing that I wanted to sell them around my city, I took my cards to a bunch of different shops around Manchester. They're now stocked at Magma, The Royal Exchange Craft Shop, and SOUNDWAVES HERE WE COME in Afflecks!! It's BEYOND exciting seeing my work on the shelves in some of my favourite shops.
I'm also selling them online on my Etsy shop. This is my first foray into Etsy, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I can't wait to make more prints to sell on there!
So this is my Christmas Collection 2017. I hope you like them! If you do pick some up to send to your friends, let me know and tag me in your pictures!!
